Alex Miller, it’s worthwhile clarifying for Eric Muyser that there are wallets/exchanges with Ethereum, Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies that offer being able to use cryptocurrency funds for transactions with debit cards. I think the point you are making is that app tokens may not have that benefit of being able to use the app to pay with one’s native fiat currency, and convert the token cryptocurrency (Ethereum) to the fiat currency on the backend. Although, I can’t see why this can’t be implemented, and if it is I don’t know other differences, if any, a stable coin would have.
Anyway, as I mentioned on Slack, I am very much interested in being involved with Gridcoin and Ethereum, but am just very busy, so will have to make time as much as I can to finish learning Solidity, read the Ethereum yellow paper, read the Grid+ whitepaper, then maybe learn Go.
